Matthew 5:16

This scripture tells us to show everyone that we do things according to what the Most High says which is keeping his commandments.

1 John 2:15

As the people of the Most High we are NOT to follow anything that is of the world, and if we do that shows the Most High we don’t love him.

Colossians 2:8

Through the lies told by our enemies, we the Israelites have been taken away from keeping God’s commandments. They did this by Forcing us to celebrate their wicked holidays and traditions.

Let’s experiment🧪

What you need

A jar

Water

Oil

Food coloring (Optional)

Flashlight

The water represents “THE WORLD” and oil represents “Us” the Commandment keeper.

First you mix the two together only to discover THEY DONT MIX.! Then discussed reasons why!

• Gods people and things of the world don’t mix .

Then add red coloring to represent SIN and Of course it will mix with the world (water),

(Have a brief discussion about SIN before moving on)

Fun tip:

Its very cool to see how the coloring(sin) passed through the oil and go straight into the water(the world)

This could represent how when you are following the Lord’s Commandments sin has no space in our life.

You can also mix it all together to show how sometimes we are FOOLS and become just like the world , and that’s why we must repent!

-The oil and water will Separate again (Repentance).

NOW ITS TIME TO LET YOUR LIGHT SHINE 🌞.!!

Shine a Flashlight behind the jar. The light won't cut through the water ( too much sin and worldly things going on,

But it lights up through the oil Because of us keeping god commandments.

Remember we are the oil.!! 😃

End this experiment with a question:

*How can we let our light shine?

Game Time♟

For this game touch back on some of the things your child said are ways in which we let our light shine.

what you need

Dominoes game

♟Draw a person on one domino.

•The domino with the person on it represents the kid letting his/her light shine.

♟the other dominos will represent other kids.

♟Put the domino with the person on it in the the front.

♟knock the dominos down

• This will show how many people you could reach when you let your light shine

♟Use one of the examples your child gave to explain what this activity was about.

*For example: if your child says “wearing my fringes is how I let my light shine”

Your possible response would be:

This game shows how many people you could reach when you wear fringes.

• They will see your doing things according to god and will want to do the same.!

Cut and Paste Activity

Does the God approve?

Let your child cut, sort and paste the items into the Correct box.!

Discuss each picture

for example :

the Halloween picture.. The most high does not approve of us celebrating Halloween. It’s wicked and we are letting our light shine by not participating in the traditions of man.

Arts and Crafts 🎨

Let your child make a (I DO NOT CELEBRATE HALLOWEEN) poster to place on the door.

Parents you could also print out and post on your door the Halloween flyer with information on the truth about Halloween .

Please explain to your child by doing this they are helping push the truth and this is also a way of letting your light shine
